Hungarian GP - Qualifying Update

Sadly for our early bet on Alonso the Red Bulls have turned up the wick in Hungary and are making monkeys out of the rest of the field. Of course they are masters of beating themselves in races but they are untouchable in qualifying and look to be in a totally different Formula this weekend. Over a second quicker than the next best car in two of the three practice sessions is a joke and more so when you remember that this is a very short lap. Stan James offer 1/50 a Red Bull on pole and that is almost value such is the difference in class. Sadly no one is offering betting without Red Bull as the qualifying market is in reality a match up between Webber and Vettel.

Renault is performing very well but odds of 1.25 for Petrov to make Q3 are horrible. Mercedes are struggling, mixing and matching different development parts and look like a team is a state of disarray. Rosberg should still be making it into Q3 but Schumacher has progressively slipped down the order as the weekend has gone along. Williams are on the cusp of getting into Q3 but this week it has been Hulkenberg who has been the more consistent, in the top 10 in every session and 10/11 to make Q3 is not bad. However he maybe a better bet to beat Schumacher at even money as he does not necessarily need to make Q3 for the bet to win and the odds are better. Hulkenberg has out qualified Schumacher twice in the last three race weekends and has been quicker in two of the three practice sessions this weekend.

3 points Hulkenberg to out qualify Schumacher @ evens with Sportingbet.

Next update around one hour before the start of the race.
